Last Saturday, February 3, Bhavya and Vaishnavi, who studied at Reddywada Girls' High School in Bhuvanagiri district near Hyderabad, both returned to the hostel for unknown reasons. Both went straight to the room and closed the door. When they both did not turn up for the hostel tuition class and then for the evening snack, the teacher sent a student to call them. Even after knocking repeatedly, the door did not open. The student looked in through the window.He saw that Bhavya and Vaishnavi were hanging. The student ran back and informed the hostel staff. The staff removed the bodies of Bhavya and Vaishnavi hanging from the fan and took them to the district hospital. The hospital doctor said that both have died. Bhavya and Vaishnavi come from the scheduled cast. After his death, the search for the cause was started. According to the hostel staff, both have committed suicide.
Also, the family alleges that the suicide note has been written and both the signatures have been done by the same person. The family alleges that the hostel warden used to harass them both. The warden says that Bhavya and Vaishnavi used to harass girls in the hostel. Postmortem of both the girls was conducted on February 4. An initial report on February 5 revealed that both had bruises on their bodies.

A police team reached the district hospital after receiving the news of the suicide of two Dalit students. The other team started investigating the hostel room. While searching the room, the police found a suicide note on the table. The suicide note read, 'We are leaving this world. We are very sorry for this. We have done nothing wrong so we cannot accept the words that are being spoken to us. No one trusted us except Shailja Ma'am. We are leaving this world without telling our pain to anyone. Bury us both in the same place. This is our last wish.
